Last Thanksgiving we spent the morning planting 2500 daffodils, tulips and alliums (flowering onions y'all).
And last week the first daffodils began to bloom! I love the simple beauty of Ice Follies (yellow centers paired with white outer petals).
One of my fondest memories occurred when I was homeschooling my, at the time, 4 young kids. We snuck over to my best friend Jackie's home and planted tulip and daffodil bulbs through her landscape while she was away. We kept it a secret until Spring when bulbs began to emerge around her home. It was a wonderful surprise!
